Bio

Before he became one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, Brad Pitt was a young man from Springfield, Missouri, with a dream and a jawline that would launch a thousand magazine covers. Born on December 18, 1963, Pitt dropped out of the University of Missouri just two weeks shy of graduating to pursue acting in Los Angeles. After years of small television roles and bit parts, his breakout came in Thelma & Louise (1991), when his shirtless, smoldering performance turned him into an instant heartthrob. But Pitt was never content with being just a pretty face—he wanted to be a serious actor.

Over the next three decades, Pitt built one of the most diverse and respected filmographies in modern cinema. From the chaotic brilliance of Fight Club to the existential melancholy of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, from the sharp-edged crime drama of Moneyball to his Oscar-winning turn in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Pitt has repeatedly proven his range and depth. Beyond acting, he is a celebrated producer through his company Plan B Entertainment, behind acclaimed films like 12 Years a Slave and Moonlight. Off-screen, Pitt is known for his humanitarian work, his passion for architecture, and his ability to remain one of the most compelling—and endlessly watchable—stars in Hollywood history.
